How to Setup Philips Hue lights?

In this post, we will discuss how we can easily setup Philips Hue Lights with Amazon Alexa.

A starter kit includes a power adapter, a Hue Bridge, two or three light bulbs and an Ethernet cable.

First, place the light bulbs into the light fixtures and turn it on so that you can be sure that the bulbs are working properly.

Now, they are ready to be paired with Hue Bridge. Follow the below steps:

1. Connect the power adapter to the Bridge and the other end into an available outlet.

 2. Take Ethernet cable and connect one end of it to the Bridge and the other end to the back of the router.

3. The four lights on the bridge should be lightened.

4. Download the Philips Hue app.

5. After you opened the app, it will automatically begin searching for a Hue Bridge.

6. Now click on “set up”.

7. Select the push-link button on your Hue Bridge.

8. Click on “Accept”.

1. Open the Alexa application and choose the option “Smart home devices”.

2. Open the “Add device” section.

3. Press the button on the Hue Bridge.

6. Open Alexa setting-> Menu->Skill-> Search for Hue Skill ->Click and Enable the Philips Hue Skill.

7. Login Philips Hue account or login if you already have.
